Nature Journaling
Sat., July 16th • 10:30am-12:00pm
Discovery Center Classroom
Nature journaling is a method used by real-life scientists and naturalists to collect data and do their work in the field, but it is also a great way for anyone to practice their observational skills and make a connection with our natural world! Guests will be encouraged to use their five senses to observe natural objects and settings, ask questions about their observations, and make connections with their experiences. While there will be some drawing involved, this is a practice that anybody can participate in, regardless of their artistic ability! Guests will learn how to tap into their creativity by incorporating diagrams, maps, notations, and many other disciplines into their journaling, using materials provided by the zoo. Registration is required. Registration is $5 per family.
